Poppets Are Important

At the heart of all our check valves is the poppet (highlighted above). It’s the nucleus of operation within all of the components (plastic body, spring, and o-ring) that make up Smart Products’ check / pressure relief valves. The poppet touches everything within the valve and is the only part that "travels."

To best fit each valve’s design and meet flow requirements, we have seven different poppets. The table below shows which poppet is used per Model # (Cartridge) or Series.

We offer poppets in 9+ plastic body materials to include: Polypropylene, Nylon, Acrylic, Acetal, PVDF (Kynar), Polycarbonate, Ultem®, ABS, and Radel® (pictured above). Further customize check / pressure relief valves by o-rings and opening PSI. Follow the link below to get started:
